As the data controller, we are responsible for ensuring your data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR (EU) 2016/679.

We do not collect any personal information. Ply3rs is a media player and browser-based app that works primarily offline. None of our platforms — Android app, Android TV, Wear OS companion, Apple Watch companion, or the Web App at ply3rs.com/web — include any analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporting, or usage tracking. No data is ever sent to servers operated by us. The only integrated platform service is the Google Play In-App Review API (see Section 5), which is used solely to display an optional rating dialog on Android. We do not receive any personal data through it.

Ply3rs stores the following data locally on your device only, for the sole purpose of providing the app's functionality:

• Playlist data — IPTV playlist URLs and channel information you add
• Login credentials — Xtream Codes or network drive credentials you enter (stored encrypted using AES-256 encryption)
• Favorites — Channels you mark as favorites
• Playback position — Resume position for media you've watched
• Language preference — Your chosen app language
• Skin / theme preference — Your chosen app skin (stored locally; never transmitted)

The Web App (ply3rs.com/web) stores no data of any kind. All content loaded in the browser — playlists, radio streams, and local files — exists only in your browser session and is discarded when you close or reload the page. Nothing is written to cookies, localStorage, or any server.

Ply3rs connects to the internet only when you explicitly request it, to:

• Fetch IPTV playlists from URLs you provide
• Stream media content from sources you configure
• Connect to network drives (SMB, NFS, FTP) you set up
• Connect to cloud drives (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive) from links you provide
• Retrieve radio station lists from the Radio Browser public API when you open the World Radio feature
• Stream LiveTV channels from public broadcaster servers when you select a channel

The app does not contact any server owned or operated by us. All network connections are initiated solely by you and go directly to the content sources you specify. No personal data is transmitted.

Opening and viewing local files — including media, images, photos, and text or source code files (250+ programming languages and formats) — happens entirely on your device. The contents of any file you open are read locally for display only and are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared.

The Web App (ply3rs.com/web) follows identical principles. Local files opened via the browser file picker are processed entirely in the browser. No content is uploaded to any server at any point.

Ply3rs does not integrate any analytics platforms, advertising networks, crash reporting tools, or social media SDKs. The app integrates a single Google platform service:

• Google Play In-App Review API — Used only to show an optional in-app rating prompt so you can rate the app on Google Play. The rating dialog is handled entirely by the Google Play Store app on your device. Any rating or review you choose to submit is sent to Google Play and governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not receive any personal data, and the API is not used for analytics or tracking.

Aside from this, there are no third-party data processors and no other third-party services.

World Radio

Ply3rs includes a World Radio feature that provides access to thousands of publicly available radio stations from 120+ countries. Radio streams are provided by their respective broadcasters and are freely accessible online. Users select a country, choose a station, and start listening — available on Android, Android TV, the Web App, and Wear OS / Apple Watch companions.

Station metadata (name, stream URL, country, tags) is sourced from the Radio Browser open-source community directory (api.radio-browser.info). The app and Web App query this public API over HTTPS solely to retrieve station lists; no personal data is sent to Radio Browser or to us.

LiveTV

Ply3rs includes a LiveTV feature providing access to live television streams from public and international broadcasters, including Al Jazeera, Deutsche Welle (DW), France 24, TRT World, CGTN, VOA TV, ABC News, and others. These streams are publicly provided by the respective broadcasters and are freely accessible online without subscription or payment.

The app and Web App connect directly to each broadcaster's CDN or streaming server over HTTPS when you select a channel. No personal data is collected or transmitted beyond the standard network request to the broadcaster's server. Stream availability may vary by region and is determined solely by the broadcaster.

Photo Gallery

The Photo Gallery feature allows you to browse and view photos and images stored on your device. Ply3rs reads image files locally to display them in the built-in viewer. No images are uploaded, transmitted, or shared in any way. Supported formats include JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, HEIC, HEIF, BMP, TIFF, and RAW camera formats (DNG, CR2, NEF, ARW, etc.).

Code & Text Viewer

The Code & Text Viewer feature opens text files and source code in a built-in syntax-highlighted viewer supporting 250+ programming languages and file formats. All file reading and rendering occurs entirely on your device or in your browser (Web App). The contents of any file you open are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared.

Custom Skins

The Custom Skins feature allows you to change the visual theme of the app. Your skin preference is stored locally on your device (Android) or exists only in your current browser session (Web App). No skin selection data is transmitted to any server.

Android Auto

Ply3rs supports Android Auto, allowing World Radio playback directly on your car's display. The Android Auto integration is audio-only: it streams radio stations you select from the car screen through your phone's internet connection. No personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted to Ply3rs. The radio station list is fetched from the Radio Browser public API (same as in the main app). No location data, driving data, or any car-system data is accessed or collected by Ply3rs.

Smartwatch Companion (Wear OS & Apple Watch)

Ply3rs offers companion apps for Wear OS (Samsung Galaxy Watch, Google Pixel Watch, etc.) and Apple Watch. These companion apps support World Radio playback and local audio file playback only. The watch companion communicates with the paired phone via the standard Wear OS / WatchConnectivity framework. No data is transmitted to external servers by the companion apps. No personal data is collected.

Web App (ply3rs.com/web)

The Ply3rs Web Appruns entirely in your browser and supports IPTV, LiveTV, World Radio, local file playback, Code & Text Viewer, and Custom Skins. The Web App does not use cookies, does not write to localStorage, does not track sessions, and does not communicate with any Ply3rs server. All content is processed locally in the browser. Connections are made only to content sources you explicitly open (playlist URLs, broadcaster streams, Radio Browser API).

We do not share any data with anyone. Since we do not collect or transmit data, there is nothing to share, sell, or transfer to third parties. There are no international data transfers, as all data remains on your device.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under GDPR:

• Right of Access (Art. 15) — All your data is on your device; you have full access at all times
• Right to Rectification (Art. 16) — You can edit your playlists, credentials, and settings at any time within the app
• Right to Erasure (Art. 17) — Delete all app data by clearing app data in Android Settings or uninstalling the app. For the Web App, simply close/reload the browser tab — no persistent data is stored.
• Right to Data Portability (Art. 20) — Your playlist data is stored in standard formats on your device
• Right to Restriction of Processing (Art. 18) — You can stop using specific features at any time
• Right to Object (Art. 21) — Since we perform no data processing beyond local storage, there is no processing to object to

• Right to Know — We do not collect personal information
• Right to Delete — Uninstall the app or clear app data to delete all locally stored data
• Right to Opt-Out of Sale — We do not sell any personal information
• Right to Non-Discrimination — We do not discriminate against users exercising their privacy rights

Ply3rs does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). The app does not collect personal information from any user of any age. The app complies with COPPA and GDPR Article 8.

We implement the following security measures to protect data stored on your device:

• Encryption — Login credentials are encrypted using AES-256-GCM via Android's EncryptedSharedPreferences
• No Cloud Backup — App data is excluded from Android cloud backup to prevent unintended data exposure
• Minimal Permissions — The app requests only Internet and Network State permissions; no access to location, contacts, phone, camera, or microphone
• System Trust Anchors — Secure (HTTPS) connections are validated against the device's system-trusted certificate authorities. Plain HTTP is permitted only for IPTV streams and network drives you explicitly configure
• Code Obfuscation — Release builds use R8 code shrinking and obfuscation

Android App, Android TV & Android Auto

• INTERNET — To stream media from URLs and playlists you provide
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — To detect connectivity status
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK — To keep audio playing in the background (radio, Android Auto)

Wear OS Companion App

• INTERNET — To stream radio stations selected on the watch
• WAKE_LOCK — To keep the screen active during audio playback
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK — To maintain audio playback in the background on the watch

Web App (Browser)

The Web App requires no special browser permissions. Media files are opened via the standard browser file picker (no persistent storage access). Audio playback uses the standard HTML5 Audio API.

No platform requests access to your location, contacts, phone identity, camera, microphone, or any other sensitive device features.

All data is stored locally on your device for as long as the app is installed. Data is automatically and permanently deleted when you:

• Uninstall the app
• Clear the app's data via Android Settings
• Remove individual items within the app (playlists, network sources, etc.)

We retain no data on any server, as we never receive any data from your device.

If we update this privacy policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We will not reduce your rights under this policy without your explicit consent. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

If you are in the EEA and believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority (DPA). However, since Ply3rs does not collect or process personal data, it is unlikely that any violation could occur.
